The information regarding syllabus is as per previous year brochure, the board has released  the official exam notice.Once the board will release the official brochure, changes ( if any) in the syllabus as per the new brochure will be updated here. 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recently released a notification about the Combined Higher Secondary Level examination. The exam will be held to recruit for various posts of LDC/ JSA, Postal Assistance/ Postal Sorting Assistance and DEO respectively. This examination is a golden chance for the candidates as there are so many vacancies available. In this article candidates can go through detail syllabus and exam pattern of SSC CHSL 2018.

SSC CHSl Exam Pattern Tier 1 2018

Computer Based Examination ( Objective Type)

This year the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam will be of 60 minutes of time duration instead of 75 minutes.

 Note – The examination timings for the candidates of VH/ OH afflicted by cerebral Palsy OH with deformity in writing hand  is 80 minutes.

  • The exam will be in both the language Hindi and English.
  • Negative marking of 0.50 for every wrong answer

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern – Descriptive Paper (Tier 2)

The Tier 2 examination will be in pen and paper mode.

Note – for VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBES there will be no component of Maps/ Graphs/ Diagram/ Statistical Data in general intelligence and reasoning / quantitative aptitude.

Descriptive Paper (Tier 2)

Syllabus for Tier 3

Skill test

  • Data entry speed of 8000 key depression per hour
  • Duration of the test will 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing 2000- 2200 strokes / key – depression

Note – VH/OH ( afflicted by cerebral Palsy) and OH with deformity in writing hand ( 40% disability and above) will be allowed 35 minutes including 20 minutes for skill test.

The skill test will be held at SSC regional office or other centre decided by the commission.
