The declaration of JEE Main 2018 result will be on April 30, 2018. The result will be declared online separately for Paper 1 and Paper 2 on May 31st 2018. For academic year 2018-19,approx. 2,24000 top candidates of JEE Main 2018 will be qualified to appear in JEE Main Advanced 2018. Till 2017, only top candidates of JEE Main were eligible to take JEE Advance.

How to check your JEE Main Result 2018

  • Click on the JEE Main 2018 result here (direct link will be provided here after the declaration of result)
  • Enter your JEE Main 2018 roll number and date of birth.
  • Click  on “submit button”
  • Candidate can see their result, All India Rank , category rank and qualifying status for JEE Advanced 2018.
  • Download your admit card and keep it for further use.

How to calculate JEE Main 2018 score and rank

Use the answer key of JEE Main 2018 and get an idea of your score. The formula to calculate JEE Main score is given below.

JEE Main Score= 4 marks x number of correct answers- number of wrong answers x 1

Calculating JEE Main Rank

The main score of JEE Main 2018 will be used to calculate the rank of engineering entrance test. The higher you score the higher will be the rank of JEE Main 2018. If two or more candidates score equally, then tie breaking rule will  be applicable.

What is Tie breaking policy?

Incase two or more candidates secure equal marks in the examination, then in this case tie breaker policy will be applicable.

JEE Main Paper 1
  • First, candidates with higher marks in mathematics will be given better rank
  • Thereafter candidates scoring higher marks in physics will be given higher rank
  • Incase the tie is not broken yet , the candidates will given same rank
JEE Main Paper 2
  • Candidates securing higher marks in aptitude test will be given higher rank
  • Still the tie situation is not resolved, then higher marks in drawing test will be consider
  • The ratio of positive and negative marks will be taken into account.
  • Candidates having higher absolute value will be given higher rank
  • If the tie is not broken , candidates will be given same marks

JEE Main 2018 Rank List

The candidates can check their rank along with the JEE Main Result 2018. The Rank will be depend on the score of the candidates . AIR ( All India Rank )are used for the admission while category rank is just for information. The rank will be used by JoSAA for admission purpose.
