GATE answer key 2017 officially out on www.gate.iitr.ernet.in
Article updated on February 27, 2017: The official website www.gate.iitr.ernet.in has now published GATE answer key 2017 for all subjects and sets. GATE 2017 Answer Key has been hosted on 26th February on the official portal of GOAPs, instead of the scheduled date 27th February. Candidates are advised to get in touch with us to know how to check their GATE Answer Key 2017. We have updated the page and provided all the steps for downloading the GATE Answer Key.
GATE 2017 Answer Key: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has announced that GATE Answer Key 2017 will make available on February 27. GATE 2017 Answer Key is available in the online mode of all the subjects for which the aspirants appeared. To download GATE 2017 Answer Key candidates have to log in through their Enrolment ID and password.

- Visit official website of IIT (www.appsgate.iitr.ac.in)
- Click on ‘Existing User’
- Enter GATE 2017 User ID and password
- Click on ‘Login’ button
- Click on the tab ‘Answer Key’ and download the set as per your subject.
NOTE: All the aspirants are informed that the challenges by them shall be accepted during Mar 3- 6, 2017.
UPDATE (07/01/2017) GATE 2017 Admit Card: After completion of Online Application Form and Correction now candidates must be looking for the GATE Admit Card. The candidate is informed that they have to appear at the Examination Center on the mentioned date and time as per mentioned on admit card.
GATE 2017 Admit Card has been hosted online on 6th January 2017 at GOAPs official portal. Candidates need to download and print their admit cards for the day of examination. As per officials NO printed copy of admit cards will be sent by post to any of the candidates.
GATE Exam Admit Card: GATE 2017 Released
GATE Admit Card 2017 have to be downloaded from the GOAPS website from 6th January 2017 by all the appeared candidates. The candidate has to bring a printed copy of the admit card to the test center along with the original identification card whose number has been given in the application (Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, Valid College ID, Employee identification card or Driving License).
For International candidates, ONLY a valid Passport/ Government issued ID/College ID/ Employee ID shall be accepted as the recognized identification. The only permitted photo identifications are; Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, Valid College ID, Employee identification card or Driving License. NO candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination hall (however, the Center gate shall be closed 25 minutes after the start of the examination) after 30 minutes of the start of the examination.
GATE 2017 Admit Card- How to Download
GATE 2017 admit card can be downloaded now from the official portal. Candidate needs to log in at http://appsgate.iitr.ac.in/ to download their admit card. Follow the below-mentioned steps as provided:
- visit the official portal as mentioned.
- Enter your “Enrollment ID” and “Password”
- Click on submit the admit card will be on your screen.
- Take print out of your GATE Admit Card and keep it safe for the day of examination

GATE 2017 Examination Pattern
This year the changes have been made by the authority members in the examination pattern also.

NOTE: The total 65 questions will be completely based on General Aptitude (GA).
The question paper is divided as mentioned below for the paper codes.
|Paper Codes with AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF and XE, the Engineering Mathematics||will carry around 15% of the total marks|
|General Aptitude section||will carry 15% of the total marks|
|Subject Paper||will carry 70% of the total marks|
|Paper Code with AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL along with the General Aptitude section||will carry 15% of the total marks|
|Subject Paper||will carry 85% of the total marks|
As per the department, GATE 2017 would contain questions of two different types in various papers:
|Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)||carrying 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections|
|Numerical Answer Questions||carrying 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections|
NOTE: For Numerical Answer Questions these questions the answer is a real number, to be entered by the candidate using the virtual keypad. No choices will be shown for this type of questions. The answer can be a number such as 10 (an integer only). The answer may be in decimals as well, for example, 10.1 (one decimal) or 10.01 (two decimals) or 10.001 (three decimals). Wherever required and possible, it is better to give NAT answer up to a maximum of three decimal places.
