GATE 2018 Counselling: GATE is a national aptitude test to post graduation courses in the stream of engineering and technology. GATE 2018 counselling will be held in the month of April 2018. IITs will not be engaged in organizing the counselling of GATE. After the official declaration of the GATE Result 2018, candidates have to register themselves separately to various IITs. All the NITs will organize the central counselling for PG engineering courses like M.Arch/M.Tech/M.Plan. For more details on GATE counselling 2018 read the complete article.

GATE 2018 Counselling Process
The GATE Counselling is an online admission process which is conducted by NITs and other centrally funded institutions The GATE counselling process will be strictly based on the GATE 2018 scorecard. The entire counselling will be of following steps :
STEP 1: online registration, choice filling and choice locking: The first step is to register yourself in the CCMT official website and pay the applicable registration fee. On the successful payment of the registration fee, applicants can fill their choices at the time of counselling process.
STEP 2: Allotment of the seat, seat acceptance fee payment and reporting: This is the second step of GATE 2018 counselling.The seats will be given on the basis of the choice filled by the candidates and merit list. Once seats are allotted, candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fees and report to their allotted centre in person as per date and time specified by the authority.
STEP 3: Admission: After the final allotment of seat, candidates are required to complete the provisional seat confirmation process by making the seat confirmation payment. Once the payment is being made, candidates are able to download the provisional seat confirmation letter from the official portal. After all these steps, candidates should report to the allotted college with required certificate and documents for taking the final admission.
GATE Counselling 2018: Documents Required
Candidates must carry the following documents at the time of counselling and document verification process.
- Original GATE 2018 scorecard
- Admit Card
- Provisional seat allotment letter
- Date of birth certificate
- Photo ID proof
- 12th class mark sheet
- Mark sheet of the qualifying examination (all semester)
- Passport size coloured photograph
- Category Certificate( if valid)
- Seat acceptance fee proof
